Who this policy covers
Factorest is a product of Koombea, Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy applies to the Factorest marketing site and to information you send us through it, including the pilot enquiry form.
Our audience is business: owners, operations leaders, portfolio managers, and credit teams at factoring companies and receivables-backed lenders. This site is not a loan application, a consumer-finance service, or a marketplace that matches borrowers with lenders, and we do not collect consumer credit applications through it.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact identifiers: your name, business email address, company name, and any phone number or title you choose to give us.
- Workflow information: the financing flow you select and anything you describe about where work gets stuck in your operation.
- Correspondence: messages you send us and our replies, including follow-up scheduling.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device characteristics, pages viewed, and referring source.
- Marketing attribution: the campaign, search, or referral path that brought you to the site.
Financial and commercial information
Evaluating a workflow sometimes involves looking at real operating documents: invoices, contracts and amendments, schedules of accounts receivable, purchase orders, work-in-progress reports, borrowing-base certificates, buyer correspondence, and remittance detail.
Do not send material of that kind through this website. The enquiry form is not a secure channel for confidential records. Where an evaluation genuinely requires them, we agree a written arrangement first, including a non-disclosure agreement and a defined transfer method, and we ask for redacted or sampled data wherever it will answer the question.
Documents of this kind frequently contain information about people who are not you, such as named contacts at your clients and their buyers. Send us the minimum that serves the purpose, and only where you have the authority to do so.
How we use information
We use what we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation.
- Assess whether a scoped pilot makes sense, and prepare a proposal or statement of work.
- Operate, secure, and improve the site.
- Maintain our customer-relationship records.
- Send business communications you have asked for, and marketing you can opt out of at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
Automated processing and decisions
We use software, including AI-assisted tooling, to summarise enquiries, classify them, and route them to the right person. A person reviews anything that affects how we respond to you.
We do not use your information to make credit, eligibility, or funding decisions about any individual, and nothing submitted through this site produces such a decision. Those decisions belong to the financing companies that operate them, under their own policies and controls.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws.
How long we keep it
Retention depends on the category:
- Website enquiries: up to 24 months after our last substantive interaction, unless a relationship begins.
- Client and engagement records: for the term of the relationship, and afterwards for the period our legal, tax, and audit obligations require.
- Evaluation materials shared under a written agreement: for the period that agreement specifies, then returned or destroyed at your request.
- Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Security and access logs: for as long as needed to investigate and respond to incidents.
Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls on a need-to-know basis, encryption in transit, and documented incident-response procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. This is the reason the site asks you not to send confidential financial records through the enquiry form.
Where information is processed
We operate in the United States and Colombia, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where information moves across borders we rely on contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards designed to keep protection consistent with this policy.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a portable copy, and to opt out of certain disclosures. Residents of California and Florida have specific rights along these lines.
To exercise any of them, write to legal@koombea.com with enough detail for us to locate your records and verify your identity. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any marketing email. Messages about an active conversation or engagement will continue.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other sites
Pages we link to are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy as the product and our practices develop, and we revise the date shown at the top when we do. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give more prominent notice.
